Married a Bandra Boy later whose mum Elaine was very involved in the Zonals. So, knew that neighbourhood well. Do let me know about this book. Everytime he would visit Papa (the same Papa as Scribbler) and if I was around (which I usually was) he would call me "Ms. Trouble" and it tickled me to no end. I think my Papa knows (deep down) that Mr. Currie died. But perhaps when you are 94 and there are not too many of your peers around, you like to pretend that you're not the last one of your kind. The Pixy Princesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14617559420946186045noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4821279385059832462.post-45103466556645143422008-07-02T09:33:00.000+05:302008-07-02T09:33:00.000+05:30I didn't know the Curries as a family, but did kno...I didn't know the Curries as a family, but did know Mr (Carlisle) Currie... he and my grandfather were very good friends and he was always around my grandparents' house when we were kids. After he died, my grandfather was told but somehow managed to forget... so he quite possibly still thinks Mr Currie is around! Judging from your post, the spirit of the Curries still is. :)Sanchiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05999115030245749245noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4821279385059832462.post-46071958477919441422008-06-30T23:07:00.000+05:302008-06-30T23:07:00.000+05:30whatta blog...glad a friend found this. He tried to convince me that the 3D stamps were not for real collectors. But Padamsi and Kimji told us otherwise Rs5. per stamp ( a lot of money when you could get bhel for 25paise.)<BR/>And the there were his song books which were part of eyery bus ride to every Virendra Picnic.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
